Three as Four: RTW Old is new [and a hit!]

The couture shows in Paris have ended, but there’s a sort of downtown New York couture just starting up. Three As Four is now offering seven of their classic shapes (six dresses and one blouse) for custom order in over 60 colors. “People come to us all the time asking for that dress in this color, so we decided to officially offer this service,” explains Adi Gil, one of the design triumvirate that also includes Ange Donhauser and Gabi Asfour. The team suggests that you come to their studio at 86 Forsyth Street for the full fitting experience (be sure to look up at the ceiling with its silver-painted sequin flowers). They recently made bridesmaid dresses for a young artist and three of her girlfriends, whom they met through gallerist Carole Greene. “Our clients range from a girl in her 20s to a woman who is 75 years old,” explains Adi. “This is about doing something that can be worn and loved by everyone. These are our classic silhouettes; we will always believe in them and always have them.”
